Clapping and Dancing. Sleeping and Laughing. This is my baby and
she's pure radiant joy. These post-card size "love letters" collage
words, symbols and images to celebrate and express the wonder
that is my daughter and a whole new world called Motherhood.

This series evolved out of my penchant for journaling and to document
ideas. My need to express visually has driven this work to "publication".
Expressed in simple written form like a diary and layered with scripts is
various languages, each assemblage shares an intimate thought or private
experience. Each 'entry' suggests that a greater story exists beyond what
is revealed. These kimonos are a metaphor for the thoughts and emotions
I wear and they reveal who I am in the moment I committed them to paint.
