This series evolved out of my penchant for journaling and to
document ideas. My need to express thoughts visually has driven
this work to "publication".
Expressed in simple written form like a diary and layered with
scripts in various languages, each assemblage shares an intimate
thought or private experience. Each 'entry' suggests that a greater
story exists beyond what is revealed. These kimonos are a metaphor
for the thoughts and emotions that I wear. And they reveal who
I am in the moment I committed them to paint.
